Ridgeline Summary
Ridgeline Raven is a free hunting district finder. You can use the state finders and species guide without an account, and we don't collect anything about you when you do. If you create an account for the trophy room and gear locker, we store the email address and records you give us so you can see them when you sign in. We don't sell or share your information, show ads, or use tracking or analytics tools.
Using the site without an account
The state finders remember your last answers (species, month, weapon and so on) in your own browser's local storage so the page opens where you left off. That stays on your device; it is never sent to us. You can clear it by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Like every website, our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services (CloudFront and S3), receives your IP address and browser details when it delivers pages. We don't use these to identify you. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address when a page loads; see Google's privacy policy.
If you create an account
To run the trophy room and gear locker we store:
- Your email address and password. The password is stored only as a secure hash by our account provider; we can't see it.
- The trophies you log: species, state, unit, date, weapon, sex, points, score, weight, notes and photos.
- The gear and dogs you add: names, brands, models, specifications, counts, purchase dates and prices, condition, notes, photos, and any serial, registration or microchip numbers you choose to enter.
This information is private to your account. Database rules allow only you, when signed in, to read or change your records and photos. Your records and photos are stored by Supabase, our database and sign-in provider. Account emails (sign-up confirmation and password reset) are sent through Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). Supabase and Amazon process this data only to provide those services to us.
We use your email address only for messages about your account. We don't send newsletters or marketing, and we never sell, rent or share your information with anyone else, except if the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting your information
Your records stay until you delete them. You can edit or delete any trophy, piece of gear or dog at any time, and the Account panel in the trophy room deletes all of your trophies, gear and photos at once.
To delete your login and email address as well, email support@ridgelineraven.com from the address on your account and we'll delete the account within 30 days. Deleting the account also deletes any records left in it.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and your records are protected by per-user database rules. No system is perfectly secure, so please don't store anything in your notes you couldn't afford to have exposed, and use a password you don't use elsewhere.
Children
Ridgeline Raven is meant for adult hunters and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
